Radiation
The electrical components of computer monitors
generate electric (E-field) radiation. 3M Computer Filters, with the
anti-radiation feature, will reduce the ELF/VLF frequency ranges of
e-field radiation by up to 99.9%, when properly grounded.
Glass Tint
Glass tint is expressed as percent light
transmission. The higher the light transmission percent, the more light
the filter allows to pass through. A higher transmission relates to a
brighter screen, provides enhanced contrast and accurate color
representation. Typically 31% light transmission is standard tint; 45% is
light tint; and 70% is extra light tint.
ISO 9241-7 for CRT Monitors
The ISO 9241-7 display ergonomic
standard is the benchmark testing protocol for measuring CRT monitor
performance under various lighting conditions. Placing a 3M Executive (EF)
Computer Filter on a CRT monitor, can improve the performance of the
monitor being tested. By using the internationally recognized ISO 9241-7
standard for electronic displays and an independent testing agency, such
as TUV Rhineland GmBH, filter manufacturers can prove the optical
performance of their filters using the test methods of accepted
international standards. This demonstrates a commitment to provide the
best quality, highest performing products and the ability to back it up
with independent testing to an accepted international standard.
